About
Passion meets precision
James Digger is a young, driven heritage stonemason currently working on the fabric of Blenheim Palace. Trained through the Cathedral Workshop Fellowship at the University of Gloucestershire and with formative years at York Minster and St Paul's Cathedral, he brings fresh energy to an ancient craft — combining traditional hand skills with a deep respect for historic materials.
A WorldSkills Gold Medalist and Duke of Gloucester Award winner (Excellent), James approaches every repair with the same discipline: match the original in material, technique, and finish. No shortcuts. No compromises. The building was here before us and it will be here long after.
